ABOUT  MTSS

What Is Menstrual Toxic Shock Syndrome (mTSS)?

Menstrual Toxic Shock Syndrome is associated with  tampon use. MTSS is a life-threatening, multi systemic illness caused by a release of toxins from the overgrowth of Staph Aureus bacteria. It is released into the bloodstream and over-stimulates the immune system where it can no longer defend or protect the body. It then quickly begins to shut down the organs.

The chemicals in tampons have been known to alter one's pH level to dangerously high levels. This creates a perfect environment for the bacteria to produce and create the toxin.
